An artistic statement about the work

Plastic Kills Wildlife is the current project of David Hickey, a Chicago native now residing in Portland, Oregon. He is a music major with an emphasis on piano performance.

David began creating electronic music in the early 1990's, using the family PC running modular music software called Trackers. He adopted the moniker 'Dynamo' and began circulating mix tapes among friends, creating a significant backlog of work.

Plastic Kills Wildlife was released as a self-titled album on Lune Records in December of 2007. 'Asbestos Little Monkeys' was created by David to promote an upcoming album, due Fall 2008. The video was shot using only an inexpensive digital camera.

"I think it's pretty clear that I don't take myself all that seriously," he says. "I'm just doing what I've always done."
