1977 – The Summer of Hate, the Punk Rock Explosion and the Queen’s Silver Jubilee. The latter event being the reason Mark spent that particular summer in London, England. Although he was not even a teenager, he was swept up in the scene that smacked of sincerity, desperation, and provocation. On his return, he immediately formed his band, the DeGeneRats, They hung out, played and fought together well into the 1980’s.

Mark embraced the Punk Rock, D.I.Y. (Do It Yourself) attitude and diversified his interests, experimenting with film, video, home recording, and electronic music. It was then that he turned his full attention to his other passion. Mark’s voracious appetite for film had earned him the nickname “Film Pig”.

Since 1984, this self-taught “Film Maker” has worked on over 40 films and 300 television episodes primarily as a Picture Editor but also in the capacity of Director, 2nd Unit Director, Sound Editor and Composer. His body of work has included such genres as drama, action, comedy, children's and teen programming.

His selected Picture Editing credits include "INTERVENTION" (Jennifer Tilley, Andie MacDowell and Rupert Graves), and the critically acclaimed "STAG" (Mario Van Peebles, Kevin Dillon, Andrew McCarthy, Jerry Stiller and Ben Gazarra).

Mark directed the short film SPLIT CITY about a college student with special abilities, both mental and physical, that allow him to become a Super Hero, featuring Scott Thompson of Kids in the Hall fame. SPLIT CITY won Best Action Short Film and was nominated for Best Comedy Scene at the Long Beach Action on Film International Festival, and Honorable Mention at the NYTV Festival as part of X-box live Originals.

Mark’s latest short films are “BOYFRIEND LATTE”, a hot and steamy romance between a woman and her coffee, with Canada’s award winning sketch comedy troupe, “THE SKETCHERSONS” as well as the short drama “THE HARDEST JOB”, the story of two friends, fresh out of jail, driven to perform one last task.

Mark was 2nd Unit Director on films such as the cult phenomenas "Cube Zero", "Hypercube" and "American Psycho 2". He also directed sequences for the films "Hawk’s Vengeance" and "Mask of Death".
