Synopsis

A musical exploration of one man's hair and the woman who collects it

Hairlady began as a time-lapse photography experiment. First the subject's head and face were shaved. As hair growth proceeded, two identical digital photos were shot per day (approximately 12 hours apart) for 4 months, the subject ending up extremely hairy. On the final day, an HDV video camera was mounted where the still camera had been and the resulting video footage was shot, following the subject to meet the titular Hairlady (Miriam Escovitz)
