Director Victoria Waghorn Biography
Director statement

This film was an accidental script to screen in five days endeavor just before Christmas 2007. I entered a film challenge for the first time as part of the undeground KINO movement in Sydney thinking I was going to be working with a team of Sydney and Canadian filmmakers gaining valuable set experience to produce a film between us in an intensive workshop.
I turned up to a production meeting populated by a handful of emerging filmmakers planning to pitch my half-baked idea knowing that it was impossible to produce in the timeframe with no resources hoping to one day use it when money and time afforded.
Somehow that naive plan was ambushed and I ended up making my film (as we all did independently) but also doing it solo with no budget, no cast, no crew, no location, no equipment, no anything just before the end of the year when stress, mass unavailability and manic deadlines already exist in abundance. My rent was late that month...
This is the end result after a sleepless five days, a lot of begging, and some wonderful friends coming out of the woodwork at the 11th hour. The film premiered in Sydney in the KINO KABARET programme in the Possible Worlds Canadian Film Festival in Sydney in December 2007 at Chauvel Cinema and was a surprise Audience Favorite.
It has gone on to experience great success for a humble five day wonder and recently won "Best Australian Film" at the 10 day long "A Night of Horror International Film Festival" as well as being selected for a handful of wonderful film festivals around the world including Boston Underground Film Festival, Viscera Film Festival, and HD Fest in New York. I'm thankful that at least one other person liked it. :)
