Fatal Attraction

Now, this is a funny movie. Fatal Attraction is one of those films that you can't believe was not made soon. Guy cheats on his wife, the woman he cheats with goes crazy or even crazier, than she already was, and starts stalking him, cooking up bunny rabbits and generally wrecking his life. How was it that this script was not made until 1987? Fatal Attraction tapes into so many primal areas. Women love seeing some cheating guy get what is coming to him and for guys, especially you frat boys, this is like a horror film. Thus, Fatal Attraction works on so many levels, what fun.

Micheal Douglas as Dan and Glenn Close as Alex are really great and have very good chemistry, which when combined with the direct but relatively well-done screenplay combine to create a chilling little ride that once it has you doesn't let go. Close, in particular, does “crazy woman” very well and will always be remembered for this part. In fact, whenever I see Close in a movie or television show today, I still think of her Alex character. That is the sign of a good part and a good actor or actress.

Is this a date movie? Only if you are one weird, sick bastard is this a date movie. But it is a good time, I just wouldn't recommend watching Fatal Attraction if you are currently cheating on someone, as it may give you more nightmares than any horror flick you have ever seen.
