Summary: Leon demonstrates to Gudule that in this life you have to dominate other people

Yann Jouette's Biography and Artist's Statement

I majored in Fine Art in Bruxelles and received my diploma in 1997. I began work in Ubisoft as Background designer in 1996 (I hadn't finished school when I find this job) . I learned there 3D. I worked 5 years in Ubisoft (production, conception and cinematic section) I made my first short film "The Faktory" when I was finishing to work for Ubisoft. I worked on that project during nights and week end; the day I worked for games; I have worked 15 hours/day during 6 month to finish it with 2 animators: Marc Jailloux, Karine Karabétian and the music maker: les Hauts de plafond.

Then I made a pilot series: "Leon & Gudule". I have met all the producers possible in France to see if they were interested by that project: nobody was interested: "Adult animation has no future in France, they said to me." After that I worked on 12 commercials for England. I worked on others TV series (for children of course!)

I made my last short film "Space Feet attack" in 2003. I wrote a short film and made the complete set: "Dog Days" with a friend. It's 16' long and we have just finished it.

I am now working on my most ambitious project: Berni's Doll.I will finish it at the end of this year (I hope so because I am working on it for 2 years!)

Frik production is a small company (very small: it's me!) I used this name for my own project. You can see my work on my website:

I am always looking for opportunities to work on video-clip or commercials as director…
