Our self assigned brief was to make a short film under 3 minutes that would represent our second collaboration together as 'we are om'.
The intention was to make a piece that was both conceptually and visually strong, making full use of the short time to open, describe and close a story that would inspire.

The creative challenges of the project were prominant when we first conceived it, due to its fantastical nature and our will to cleverly place this fantasy within a real life context. We liked the idea of creatively questioning the microscopic level of existence, the 'inner space' that exists all around us but that we are unable to see. Perhaps what happens in that space is not what we initially expect. Taking this concept further we liked the idea of slowing down the split-second physical and chemical reactions that take place within this space and giving them a more romantic, fantastical explanation. What would a world look like, with an industrial army of microscopic machines, working away to satisfy the scientific laws that humans have developed to describe effervescence in water? If this is what really happens in the everyday life situation described in 'immerse', then what about all of the other invisible physical reactions that take place all around us?
