HDFEST is now accepting entries for HDFEST 2010

This is the 11th year of the festival. As always, HDFEST will be screening exclusively HD and HDV content. Please email admin@hdfest.com with any questions.

 

HDFEST is now accepting paperless film submissions through Withoutabox. Click here to continue and then follow online application instructions.

Withoutabox provides cost-saving, online entry to major film festivals throughout the U.S. and in Europe with one master entry form, allowing you and us to enter your film more quickly and with greater accuracy. This method is free and easy.

Withoutabox offers the advantages of EXTENDED DEADLINES, ONLINE PAYMENT, and an ONLINE PRESS KIT with submissions. Members who choose to have an upgraded project also get $5.00 off their entry fees.

HDFEST is open to submissions of feature films, short films, music videos, animation, experimental films and documentaries created using HD or HDV technology. Film must have been completed after January 2008.

Preview copies for festival consideration should be DVD format (ntsc or pal), applicant will only be asked for HD screening copy once movie is selected. HD exhibition copy must be available for screenings but should not be sent at the time of submission.

At HDFEST all festival content is projected at HD resolution. All films in the festival are shot with HD or HDV cameras. HDFEST also screens animation rendered at HD resolution.

All films accepted to HDFEST will be automatically considered for the 2010 HDFEST Deffie Awards.

Once accepted to the festival, filmmaker will have the choice to participate with HD film online (online participation is not mandatory)

All applicants will be notified of festival acceptance by August 15, 2010 by phone or email
